4 - 27 October: Hay Camera Club
 

We are delighted to welcome back photographers from this local club.  As usual, many of the works on display will be available to purchase.

Pilgrimage: A contemporary artwork and poetry installation 
Throughout the summer

An invitation, profiling five churches within Herefordshire with the submission of contemporary artwork and poetry in each church.  In St Peter's, the exhibit is displayed on The Hub's mezzanine.

The pilgrimage is an invitation to participate on a physical and personal journey, to find one’s own path through possible self-discovery. The suggested route starts with St. Mary’s (Tyberton), St. Peter’s (Peterchurch), St. Mary Magdalene (Turnastone), St. Bartholomew (Vowchurch) to The Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary (Madley), a journey of approximately 10.5 miles. Stillpoint meditation
1st & 3rd Wednesdays of each month, 7pm - 8pm (5 & 19 October)

NHS Physio Drop-in Session
1st Thursday of the month, 11.30am - 12.30pm (6 Oct, 3 Nov, 1 Dec)

The local NHS Physios run a free drop-in session at The Hub each month.  Golden Valley residents experiencing mobility issues or similar difficulties are encouraged to pop in for advice or support.

Heal: A one-day emotional healing retreat for women
Sunday 2 October, 10.00am - 4.00pm

This retreat will provide a safe space to be heard, process, receive and rest using: quantum reflexology to identify and clear emotional blocks; Elemental Somatic Dance to process and release emotional wounds; Healing Sounds and Gong Bath to anchor new intents and emotional pathways.  Cost £70 per head (£50 early bird discounted rate until midnight 11/09/22).  A light lunch is included.  To book, please email fernreflexology@gmail.com

inSPIRE Lunch: A monthly lunch for the St Peter's congregation and the local community
Saturday 8 October, 12.30pm - 2.30pm

The date of the next lunch is Saturday 8 October.  The cost is £10/head (to include tea/coffee) and a raffle ticket for a free lunch costs £1. Main course: Beef and ale casserole or spinach and cheese risotto cake with mashed potato, broccoli and cauliflower.  Dessert: Blackberry and apple crumble or salted caramel tart served with custard or cream.  To reserve your place, please telephone Pam Savage on 01981 550669 or Claire Rouse on 01981 550462.  Please note that pre-booking is essential before the deadline of Wednesday 5 October. 

Golden Valley Wellbeing Walks
Thursdays 13, 20 & 27 October and 3 & 10 November, 10am - 12pm
Saturdays 15, 22 & 29 October and 5 & 12 November, 10am - 12pm

Join professional walk leader Sarah Price from 'Walk Hay' to enjoy a series of short walks in and around the Golden Valley.   The walks are free to attend; tea, coffee and cake are provided at the end of each route! 

The sessions on 13 and 15 October begin and end at The Hub.

Printmaking workshop

Labyrinth Soundscape Experience
Sundays 23 October & 27 November, 2pm - 3pm

Designed to promote relaxation and wellbeing, a soundscape experience will bathe you in the vibrations of sound from singing bowls, chimes, percussion, voice and the mighty gong.  Take a journey within: sound is your guide, friend and confidante.  Your mind will be quietened as you are led into a deeply relaxed space where you will find your creative, intuitive and wise self.
