Who We Are
The Hub is a rural community development project based at St Peter’s Church in Peterchurch, in the heart of Herefordshire’s Golden Valley. We are a friendly group of like-minded people who want to make a difference to the lives of others in a place where each of us can bring our own gifts and passions to help build a strong, resilient and sustainable local community.
Covid-19 means that some Hub events and activities are not currently taking place. That said, we're doing our best to keep things interesting! Please scroll through the tabs at the top of the page to visit individual pages to find out more...
The fabulous Hub Café has comfy sofas, wifi and outdoor seating. It's a place to meet friends, relax, read a paper and enjoy delicious food and home-baked cakes.
A fully functioning branch of Hereford libraries is based here. Browse and borrow from our great selection of books or order any book from the full library catalogue.
Lots of great weekly activities take place at The Hub including community choir, yoga, pilates and our Kids' Play Café .
The Hub hosts a variety of events: Moth Breakfasts, creative workshops, nature talks, live music and much more!
We have a staffed information point on the mezzanine where you can come and get information about what's going on locally. We also have an informal Good Neighbour Scheme which is a helpline anyone in Peterchurch can use to call and request assistance from one of our volunteers. Requests can be made for help with a variety of things from getting a lift to the doctors or local shop, to changing light bulb, to walking a dog or doing some gardening.
