Extinction Rebellion meeting

An informal meeting for those wishing to explore the global climate, biodiversity and ecological issues facing all of us.

Do you want to get active but aren’t sure how to begin?  Pop in and chat to a member of Active Here who can provide motivational support through 1 to 1 appointments and telephone contact at key points over a 12 week period, helping you towards independent, sustained activity.  

Carers Trust 4all Information Session

Carers Trust 4all visit The Hub on a monthly basis to provide information, advice and practical support to unpaid carers of all ages and the people they care for every day.

Exploring Thyroid Issues

Tuesday 5 November 11am - 2pm

Anyone living with a thyroid disorder is invited to pop in for a cup of coffee and a chat with Debbie Ingram.  Debbie would like to set up an informal support group and is seeking input from people dealing with thyroid issues themselves, as well as their families/friends/carers. 

Physio & OT Drop-in Sessions

Tuesday 5 November 12.30pm - 1.30pm

The local teams operate a monthly drop-in session on the first Tuesday of the month at The Hub. Do you need help with a walking aid? Do you need to talk through problems with getting around or mobility? Or maybe you are a carer of someone who needs some help and advice? The team can offer specialist assessment along with advice and signposting where needed; they can also work with you to help you retain your independence and keep you safe within your own home.

Craft Fair

Saturday 16 November 10am - 2pm

Pop into The Hub to view beautiful handmade arts and crafts.  This is an opportunity to buy unique gifts in time for Christmas!  Refreshments available; free admission.

Exhibition: Community Art Programme

In February we’ll be using our exhibition space to provide details of - and inspiration for - our Community Felting Workshops which we’re running in partnership with Cultivating Learning and Nature (CLaN).  Find more information below...

Tuesday 18 February 12.30pm - 2pm

Choices for the main course: Pork Steak in Tomato Sauce OR Mediterranean Tart, both served with baby roasted potatoes, broad beans & carrots.   Dessert choices: Orange & Chocolate Tiramisu OR Apple Pie and Custard.

Community Art Project workshop for inSPIRE lunch guests

Led by CLaN, this free, wet felting workshop provides our lunch guests with an opportunity to get creative and celebrate The Golden Valley.  This is the fourth session of our Community Art Project which has been made possible by a My Place grant (funded by The Elmley Foundation and Herefordshire A Great Place).  Transport assistance available; please enquire.

monthly opportunity to residents to engage with me on issues that affect you living in the
locality –
or just to find out who I am, what I do in my role and why I chose to offer my services.

 

I will be at The Hub on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month from 11am -1pm. There is private

space available in the library at these times if you should so wish. They serve wonderful cakes

and beverages too!
